About Me
The Story of Atelier Taha
In 1988, my grandfather and father took their first steps into the world of leather with a humble shoe repair workshop. At that time, working with leather was not just a profession — it was an art form, practiced with passion and care. They continued this tradition together for a while, but as time went on and circumstances changed, our family moved into other industries, and the craft was put aside.
In 2015, while continuing my university education, I also began my professional career. Over the years, I climbed the career ladder and eventually founded my own media company. Yet even with all the success I achieved, I always felt something was missing. The desire to revive the artisanal spirit passed down from my family was always with me. I wanted to bring this soul back to life in today’s fast-paced world.
In 2022, I transformed this passion into reality by founding Swanco Leather Goods. However, I soon realized that my work was not just about producing leather items. What I truly wanted was to create bespoke, soulful products – entirely handcrafted with care and intention. With that vision, I restructured my brand and continued my journey as Atelier Taha – Bespoke Leather Artisan
Today, I craft fully handmade leather goods tailored to the individual, with watch straps becoming my signature product. Each strap reflects the style, story, and character of its owner. Every stitch is done by hand, and every material is selected with meticulous care.
I source only the finest materials from around the world. The premium leathers I work with come from renowned tanneries in France and Italy. All other components are supplied by respected producers in England, Germany, Japan, France, and Italy. For me, quality is the foundation of my work.
Atelier Taha is more than just a brand — it is a legacy and a story I aim to carry into the future. By following in the footsteps of my grandfather and father, I strive to preserve this craft with a modern touch.
“Every product carries a story. Every stitch reflects a feeling. My craft is about delivering those stories to the people they belong to.”
